Androgenetic alopecia (seborrheic alopecia and premature alopecia) occurs in progressive hair loss disorders during or after puberty and is associated with genetic factors and androgen metabolism.

High level of dihydrotestosterone can cause hair follicles to become tiny and hair to become fine hair until they fall off. Dihydrotestosterone is an important molecule that leads to androkinin alopecia.

The latest epidemiological survey in China shows that the prevalence of androgenetic alopecia in men is 21.3% and the morbidity in women is 6.0% in China. There are 200 million people with alopecia in China, of which androgenetic alopecia is more than 130 million. This number is still increasing, and the prevalence rate has shown an increasing trend in recent years.
